Walla Walla Symphony’s 11th annual free Rock Camp runs from June 24-28.

Rock Camp gives area teens the full experience of preparing and producing a rock ’n’ roll concert.

The camp includes lunch provided by the Walla Walla Parks & Recreation Department.

Camp activities run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily with a final, free concert for the community held at Washington Park at 5:30 p.m. June 28  by the cross-streets of West Cherry and Martha streets.

Rock Camp is open to students going into grades 7-12 and provides the opportunity for campers to be coached on their instrument of choice by local musicians while also engaging in other topics such as music recording, journalism and Afro-Cuban drumming.

Students of all levels are invited to join and rock out for a week with the community!

For more information about the concert or the camp, please contact Walla Walla Symphony Program Coordinator Aiyana Mehta at aiyana@wwsymphony.org, or 509-529-8020.

Rock Camp is sponsored by the Walla Walla Public Schools Music Program, Yancey P Winans Trust, Melody Muffler LLC and Hot Poop.
