Navigation locks at most dams on the Columbia and Lower Snake rivers are now on summer schedule.
Recreational boaters traveling upstream may lock through at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Downstream boaters may lock through at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Because of maintenance at the Ice Harbor Dam navigation lock, recreational vessels may only use the lock twice daily — at 9 a.m. for upstream traffic and at 6 p.m. for downstream traffic.
Recreational boaters may also be allowed to lock past Ice Harbor with commercial craft at other times, subject to the discretion of the lock operator.
The summer schedule will remain in effect through Sept. 14, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials said.
