Shakespeare Walla Walla presents the Rude Mechanicals’s “Twelfth Night” June 21-23.

“Twelfth Night” is Shakespeare’s topsy-turvy dark comedy about gender and the lengths we go for love.

The storyline has inspired plenty of remakes and adaptations, including the popular teen flick “She’s the Man.”

The production is set in the aftermath of World War I and right before the Roaring Twenties jump into high gear. Dr. Emily Rollie, from Central Washington University, directs this fantastically funny and thoughtful production.

The location is the Whitman College Outdoor Amphitheatre with festival lawn seating with blankets and picnics encouraged.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The curtain is at 7 p.m.

Run time is two hours, including a 15-minute intermission.

Tickets are $10 per person.
