A Pulitzer-prize winner for drama, “Crimes of the Heart,” is being staged at The Little Theatre of Walla Walla, 1130 E. Sumach St.

Performances of Beth Henley’s play will be Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. and June 7-9. Late seating is not permitted.

Tickets, $20 for adults, $15 students and youths, are available online at ltww.org or call 509-529-3683.

Three sisters gather in their small Mississippi hometown awaiting news of their grandfather who is dying in a hospital. The play contains adult content.

Eldest, Lenny, is unmarried and never left home.

Middle sister Meg pursued stardom in Los Angeles, but has, so far, only found happiness at the bottom of a bottle.

Babe, the youngest, has just been arrested for shooting her husband.

Past resentments bubble to the surface and each sister must come to terms with the consequences of her own “crimes of the heart” in ways that enable them to redefine themselves as strong, independent women.
