PALOUSE — The Touchet girls basketball team fell just short of a victory against Garfield-Palouse here on Friday night, losing a nail-biter, 32-30. 

Turnovers hurt the Indians, as they committed 10 more turnovers than the Vikings.

Areli Orozco led the way for the Indians, as she ended with 10 points and three assists. Breana Andrade led Touchet in rebounds with eight. 

For Gar-Pal, Kenzi Pederson had a game-high 16 points.

The Indians also fell to Pomeroy, 62-37, on Saturday. 

Touchet is now 1-7 overall and 1-3 in Southeast 1B League play. They will be looking to end a three-game skid on Tuesday as they host St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse.
