TOUCHET — Isaac Gutierrez scored a game-high 24 points for Touchet, leading the Indians to a 60-59 victory over Moses Lake Christian in a non-league boys basketball matchup here on Monday.
Moses Lake saw its seven-game winning streak come to a end.
“The team played with lots of energy,” Indians coach Tim McKeown said. “Isaac Gutierrez played his butt off with 24 points and eight rebounds, four assists.
“Touchet has three kids in double figures,” he added. “Dominic Preciado recorded his first double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Omar Martinez with a respectful 12 points.”
Pierre Boorman led Moses Lake with 21 points, while teammate Jacob Verhage paced them on the board with six rebounds and Trenton Dorsing dished five assists.
Touchet took advantage of 18 Moses Lake turnovers, only committing 13 of its own, and the Indians stayed out of foul trouble with only 13 as the Lions were whistled for 22.
Touchet, now 4-13, next hosts Mac-Hi tonight at 7:30 p.m.
