Kristi Childers, a 2015 McLoughlin High graduate, was part of the Corban University women’s 400-meter relay team that finished third at the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Ore., on May 11-12.

THE DALLES, Ore. — The Mac-Hi softball team was one out away from a 3-2 loss here against The Dalles on Thursday when Ally Marly ripped her first pitch into left field with teammate Rikki Mark already at scoring position in the seventh inning of a non-league, regular-season finale.

CRESWELL, Ore. — Carson Chester, of Mac-Hi, shot a second-round 84 to finish tied for 11th place among 53 on the individual leaderboard in the Oregon state Class 4A championship tournament here at Emerald Valley Golf Club on Tuesday.

BAKER, Ore. — Giovanni Meza managed to start a little rally for Mac-Hi’s baseball team when, behind in the count 0-2, he bounced back to draw a lead-off walk in the top of the sixth inning against Baker here on Monday.

BAKER, Ore. — McLoughlin High School’s softball team went to bat in the top of the seventh inning looking to add a little more cushion to the 3-1 lead they had managed up to that point against winless Baker in the first game of what was scheduled to be a doubleheader here on Monday.

PENDLETON — Sydney Earls and Rikki Mark tied things up for the Mac-Hi softball team, each driving home a run on back-to-back singles with the bases loaded, and Ally Marly followed by working a four-pitch walk that gave them a 3-2 lead over Pendleton in the top of the fifth inning here on Thursday.

PORTLAND — Patton Wright, Alex Doherty, Kiez White, Isaac Wood and Rafael Pereyda will represent Mac-Hi in the state championship wrestling tournament here Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Friday and Saturday.

BAKER, Ore. — Although Mac-Hi had already clinched a ticket to state for the first time since 1995, the boys basketball team welcomed a busload of Pioneers supporters here in an effort to crash Baker for the Greater Oregon League championship on Tuesday. 

MILTON-FREEWATER — Shaking off any rust that might have developed after repeated postponements due to snow, the Mac-Hi boys wasted little time jumping on Ontario for a 68-31 victory in a long-awaited Greater Oregon League basketball playoff here on Thursday.
