Mabton came out strong early here on Friday night, Oct. 15, to take a 48-6 Eastern Washington Athletic Conference football victory over Dayton-Waitsburg.
Dayton-Waitsburg held a 27-26 halftime lead over White Swan here on Friday night, Sept. 24. But Cougars outscored the Wolfpack 16-14 in the third quarter, and secured a 48-41 victory with a fourth-quarter score.
Dayton-Waitsburg's football team finally got to start the season after a couple weeks of cancellations. The Wolfpack made the most of it, traveling to Cowiche and leaving with a 34-0 victory over Highland.
