CHENEY — Bogdan Bliznyuk, who has won the last two Big Sky Conference Player of the Week honors, staked a big claim to a third straight honor, putting up 32 points and grabbing 15 rebounds to help power Eastern Washington to a 74-51 rout of Southern Utah in the penultimate game of the regular season Thursday night.

Eastern Washington is tied with Weber State for third place in the Big Sky Conference after the Wildcats lost at Montana, 75-57.

Eastern Washington earns a season split with Southern Utah and also won its fifth straight game heading into the season finale against Northern Arizona on Saturday.

Ty Gibson scored 13 points and Sir Washington added 10 for EWU (17-13 overall, 12-5 in the Big Sky).

Southern Utah (11-17 overall, 5-12 in the conference), which found itself behind by 22 points in the first half, got 15 points from Jamal Aytes.
