Recently, an MSNBC reporter unwittingly discovered the importance of the right to keep and bear arms. And, it’s no secret that MSNBC is usually incredibly hostile to the Second Amendment.

While covering the strife in socialist Venezuela, MSNBC reporter Kerry Sanders watched at government armored vehicles ran over citizens. It brings back memories of Tiananmen Square in China where armed troops murdered thousands of unarmed civilians.

Talking about government oppression, Sanders wondered at the disparity of power between the government and the people. This “disparity of power” is one of the reasons we were given the Second Amendment.

Reporter Sanders said, “You have to understand, in Venezuela gun ownership is not something that is open to everybody. So if the military have the guns, they have the power and as long as Nicolas Maduro controls the military, he controls the country.”

Regarding this incident, the NRA said, “After years of pushing anti-gun rhetoric, MSNBC accidentally made one of the most powerful cases for the Second Amendment — showing that without it law-abiding citizens will not have the means to protect themselves from criminals or the most blatant forms of government oppression.”

It’s clear that certain factions are trying to establish socialism in America. Could it be that they’re major players in this insidious campaign to totally disarm the American people. Is that the real reason why there’s a major drive to ban military-style firearms like the AR-15?

It’s said that America’s gun owners constitute the “largest standing army in the world.” Does that fact frighten the socialists who want to overthrow our republic along with our freedoms?

I believe it was George Mason who said, “To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”
