It is with great sadness that I write this letter. I write to honor the legacy of a valued and irreplaceable contributor to Walla Walla — Roy Anderson, who passed from this earthly life on Wednesday.
Roy and his wife, Joyce, have spent innumerable hours sharing their talents with the children and adults in Walla Walla County.
Roy was a beloved father and husband, dedicated youth soccer coach, a retired U.S. Army Corps of Engineers engineer, an outdoorsman, musician and a renowned water color artist.
Roy was taken from us by cancer, the disease that respects no boundaries. He will be sorely missed by my family and many others in our small corner of the world.
But his contributions, which brought so much joy, will live on with those of us who shared time with him.
