James Bruce Haubry
February 9, 1967 — June 20, 2019
James Bruce Haubry Jr. “Jim”, was born in Seattle and spent the past 30 years in the Walla Walla-Touchet area.
Jim was diagnosed in 2005 on his son’s first birthday with a Stage IV brain tumor and estimated less than a year to live with treatment. Jim prayed for God to preserve his life long enough for his baby to remember him, and he turned his life over completely to God. God saved him for 14 years! The brain tumor went away--a miracle! But in 2017 Jim was diagnosed with colon cancer and had multiple complications--that cancer also went away!
However, in April 2019, Jim’s brain tumor returned with full vengeance, but he was able to see his 14-year-old son graduate from 8th grade. He had fought the good fight, stood for the right, and others could see Jesus through him.
Jim loved his wife, son and family dearly! He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Judith Vietz, sister Tamara LaFrance, son Jeffrey, and wife Shorna--Jim was my love, my life, my joy. He will be greatly missed!
Our family has been blessed by constant multiple prayers for over 14 years, and we are so thankful for those who prayed, sent hugs, food, and cared.
The memorial service for James Haubry will be on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at 2 p.m., at the Village SDA Church, 12th and Larch in College Place. All are welcome.
