Curtis Edward Lindsay

Curtis, 90, passed away in Tonasket, WA. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 4:00 at the College Place Village Church Chapel, 715 SE 12th Street, College Place, with Walt Meske officiating.
Curtis was born to Edward Frank and Mable Beulah (Phillips) Lindsay in Wahkon, MN on October 27, 1928. He attended Plainview Academy, Auburn Adventist Academy, and Walla Walla Academy. Curtis married Shirley Maxine Williams on November 30, 1948, in College Place, and Audrey Marie Fuchs Lindsay on September 15, 2005, in Walla Walla; both preceded him in death.
Curtis began his ice cream career at Young’s Dairy before moving to Shady Lawn Creamery and finally to Walla Walla College Dairy. In his free time he loved the great outdoors, he was an avid hiker and gardener, and also enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Curtis is survived by two daughters, Alice Kerk of Tonasket, WA, Eileen Richmond of Mill Creek, WA; two sons, Galen Lindsay of Mesa, AZ, Gerry Lindsay of Hermiston, OR; one sister, Ardys Tanaka of Port Hardy, BC Canada; nine grandchildren, Steve Mereen, Stephen Kerk, Ryan, Jennifer, and Jordan Lindsay, Lianna Bergherm, Doug and Darren Carlton, Darcie O’Laughlin; 10 great-grandchildren, Sydney and Adam Kerk, Madison Koehler, Aiden Cimini, Ethan and Ryan Bergherm, Levi and Luke Lindsay, Kaidan and Paisley Carlton.
