Nichole Jones, 27, launched her own business, The Brow Lounge (formerly The Beauty Lounge), in early 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Out of the fire and into the frying pan does not begin to describe the journey Jones would go on.
A recent graduate of the Paul Mitchell cosmetology school, she had an esthetician’s license, and was ready to offer brow services and face waxing.
Once restrictions began to lift, Jones went into full force in promoting and accepting new clients for her services.
Her business was re-branded to The Brow Lounge in 2021 with the addition of fellow esthetician Jenna Brown, who specializes in full body waxing, luxury facials and eyelash lifts.
Together, during a pandemic that has forced anxiety on many people, these two young business women have focused on mental health. Their second-story space in downtown Walla Walla can be described as a peaceful environment.
Jones loves her work.
“Some days I can’t believe how fortunate I am to wake up and have this for a job every day,” she said. “But my very favorite part about my position is creating an experience that can help someone feel better in their own skin. If I can help even one person feel confident and love themselves just a little more, I’ve done my job well.”
