Casey Waddell, Banner Bank

Casey Waddell, 37, was born and raised in Walla Walla and has devoted much of his time to his home community. Helping people has always been his drive.

In addition to working at Banner Bank as vice president and relationship manager, Waddell has served on several nonprofit boards. He chairs the boards of the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation and the Big Blue Boosters Athletic Booster Club; serves on the executive committee of the Blue Mountain Officials Association, officiating high school basketball; and is a member of the Walla Walla Country Club finance committee. Waddell has also served as a presenter for Junior Achievement in the Walla Walla Valley, and coached several local youth sports teams.

As the relationship manager at Banner Bank, he assists businesses with countless financial issues from loans to deposits to cash management.

Waddell loves helping people in the Walla Walla community — why ever stop?

“I want to continue to help people,” he said. “That’s my main goal in the future, whether it be in a professional setting or a personal setting. In 10 years, I hope to still be working in a job that I enjoy and that allows me to continue to be people-oriented.”

Waddell cherishes Walla Walla and finds any opportunity to share the feeling.

“I see myself as an asset to our community, and I hope others do also,” he said. “Walla Walla is such a special place because of the people that call Walla Walla home. Through my time in banking, officiating basketball and volunteer work, I have met a lot of great people. I have also had some great mentors in my career that have helped me learn and grow not only as a banker, but as a person.”
