Three people are vying for Walla Walla City Council Position 3, which means only two may advance past the Aug. 3 primary.

The position is an "at-large" seat and isn't affiliated with one of the four city wards.

In the running: Sharon K. Schiller, Gustavo Reyna and M. Rick Phillips.

The top two candidates will advance to the November general election.

Vacating the seat is Council member Myron Huie, who as opted to run for Position 1, representing the South Ward.
