DIXIE — Dixie School District is seeking superintendent applicants.

Current Superintendent Matt Bona told board members in April his primary job with Educational Service District 123 as director of early learning will no longer give him the time to head the Dixie Elementary, the district’s only school.

Bona began the job on July 1 when Dixie School District contracted with ESD 123 for superintendent services. Last month the school board agreed to try and replace Bona in an independent search of its own.

The school district serves about 15-20 students in grades K-5. The job calls for a superintendent to work for the district about eight hours a week for an annual starting salary of about $25,000.

In their meeting, board members said building community relationships, spending time with students and interacting with families would be important priorities for the successful candidate. Review of applications begins June 4; interview dates are tentatively planned for mid-June. For more information go to www.dixiesd.org or call 525-5339.
