Walla Walla police arrested a man Saturday night after he allegedly assaulted another man and shot a gun into an apartment floor.
D’Sean E.M. Marks, 26, of Walla Walla was arrested at 7:19 p.m. at an apartment in the 400 block of North Palouse Street for investigation of first-degree assault, burglary and unlawful firearm possession, third-degree assault, and discharging a firearm.
The events leading up to the arrest are somewhat unclear based on the court reports.
Police said Marks went to an apartment in the 600 block of Wellington Avenue on Wednesday night. A woman there claimed Marks struck 23-year-old Ernesto Moreno, who was living in the apartment, and fired a gun into the floor.
Marks, who was there with another man, also asked Moreno why he had stolen Marks’ tires, according to reports. Marks wasn’t arrested at the time.
On Friday during a separate traffic stop, Moreno told police that Marks had been upset because the woman accused him of stealing $150 from her bank account and that Marks had accused him or slashing his tires, according to reports.
Marks was arrested at 7:19 p.m. Saturday without incident, after dispatch told police that the Department of Corrections had issued a warrant, reports said.
