MILTON-FREEWATER — Christian Rodriguez Calvillo, the 22-year-old Milton-Freewater man fatally stabbed early Friday morning, was the victim of a homicide, according to the Milton-Freewater police.

Chief Doug Boedigheimer released the information Monday afternoon, after the Clackamas, Ore., autopsy confirmed the man was the victim of a homicide.

He also said Milton-Freewater detectives attended the autopsy.

Officers and the Oregon State Police’s crime lab searched Calvillo’s home at 604 Ward St., where the stabbing occurred, he said. Evidence was logged into the MFPD’s storage.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.

Milton-Freewater Police and medics responded at 12:24 a.m. Friday to Calvillo’s home. Medics took him to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, but he died en route to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in the Tri-Cities.
