Tim and Maureen Johnson of College Place celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 23. They married on that date in 1968 in Seattle. Maureen’s maiden name is DeWolf.
Family and friends attended a vow renewal officiated by the Rev. Matt Dotson and reception on March 24 at Christ Community Fellowship.
The couple’s sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Sandra Johnson of Westminster, Colo., and Shawn and Nicole Johnson of White Salmon, Wash., hosted the gathering and gifted their parents a cruise from Australia to New Zealand.
Tim had a 45-year career in forestry before retiring in 2010.
He is a member of the Society of American Foresters, Christ Community Fellowship and the National Rifle Association. He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, ATVs and camping.
Maureen retired on July 1, 2016, from Walla Walla Community College. She is a member of Christ Community Fellowship and enjoys camping, reading and scrapbooking.
The Johnsons have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
