A seminar on wine and travel has a special focus this month on finding and attracting affluent customers.

“Let’s Get Luxe: Finding, Nurturing and Growing Gold-Collar Customers” is a three-and-a-half-hour presentation July 15 at Walla Walla Community College’s Institute for Enology and Viticulture.

The $35 session is designed for those directly involved in drawing and retaining affluent customers. Four speakers will share their insights on how customers think, what they need and how to delight them, the announcement said.

Topics and their speakers are:

Selling Wines of Indulgence: Leah McGlade, director of consumer sales and marketing, Elizabeth Chambers Cellar in McMinnville, Ore.

Keys to a Luxurious Hospitality Experience: Terra Luthi, general manager, Eritage Resort; Anand Rao, co-owner of The Barn B&B.

Communicating with Affluent Buyers: Erica Walter, “chief words officer” at Erica Walter Writes.
