Sip & Stroll returns to the streets of downtown Walla Walla on Thursday.

The Downtown Walla Walla Foundation’s shopping campaign, introduced two years ago, brings together a cluster of shops, eateries, wineries and this time even a distillery to draw locals.

The event runs 5-8 p.m.

Participants pay $10 for a ticket that gets them fee-free tastings at six participating wineries. Specials for dining will be offered at Sweet Basil Pizzeria, Walla Walla Pasta Factory and Frosted — A Cupcake Shop. Trove Home & Vintage Goods will also offer specials through the event. Those interested in sipping something other than wine may find what they’re looking for at Big House Brew Pub or 2nd Street Distilling Co.

The 21-and-older event requires ID for participation.

Booked for the second Thursday of the month through September, Sip & Stroll offers incentives for locals to get downtown and explore.

It launched last month for the season and is also scheduled for July 11, Aug. 8, and Sept. 12. Advance tickets can be purchased at ubne.ws/2MICetU.
