It’s a wrap for gluten-free, vegan bakery and eatery Fine-ly Made.

Owner Maria King said via social media that Thursday is the last day for the business at 23 S. Spokane St.

King said the decision is necessary to tend to her health.

The business has had a dedicated following over the last six years, launching in College Place and becoming a regular supplier for stores and shops at various locations before also moving into downtown Walla Walla three years ago.

The business model came from King’s own dietary needs. Diagnosed with celiac disease and battling other dietary restrictions and allergies, she was determined to make food tasty as well as nourishing.

The spot became known for baked goods, as well as custom orders. It carried a regular menu for breakfast and lunch, too, and treats and gluten-free buns were carried throughout the area.

King said via social media she planned to fill prepaid orders. Any baked goods are being sold off, and many will freeze well for those who want to stock up.

“Thank you for six amazing years,” she wrote. “I have really enjoyed serving you.”
