SonBridge Community Center raised $65,000 at its supporter luncheon on Oct. 24. This surpassed its goal of $50,000.
The funds will be applied toward improving the community through the center’s programs, including healthful-living education, accessible dental and medical care, and family unit emergency assistance.
Nearly 100 people attended the luncheon and their support makes SonBridge’s ministry possible, stated Executive Director Norman Thiel on the organization’s website.
“We are inspired! Your gifts support our mission of providing help and support to families in the Walla Walla Valley living with illness and/or at or near the edge of poverty,” he said.
Achieving the goal will help the nonprofit meet this year’s operating budget and allow it to expand its health, financial aid and educational programming in 2019.
