Blue Mountain Action Council hosted an appreciation lunch recently for their literacy volunteers.

BMAC’s Adult Literacy program wouldn’t be possible without their volunteers’ time and dedication, they posted on Facebook. 

A minigrant that helps fund the program comes from the Walla Walla branch American Association of University Women book sale.

Volunteers help adults learn English, overcome barriers, reach their educational and professional goals and become citizens, the post noted.
