Over three days, Positive Life Radio’s fall fundraiser Sept. 19-22 brought in more than $143,000, emailed Sali Miller, acting network general manager.

Donations came from listeners in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and other states, as well as from several donors outside the U.S.

PLR is supported by listeners and local business underwriters. Donations are used to continue the station’s ministry throughout the region and online, and for day-to-day needs, staffing and other expenses, she said.

More than 350 listeners called to pledge support, raising 102.5 percent of the goal.

The nonprofit, noncommercial FM station covers most of Eastern Washington and parts of Oregon and Idaho, Sali said. It’s been a ministry of Walla Walla University since 1963. Locally, listeners can tune in to 91.3 FM or listen live at plr.org.
