The 21st Annual Ducky Derby, sponsored by Community Bank and the Walla Walla Exchange Club, takes place on Saturday, May 19 at Mill Creek near Walla Walla Community College. Proceeds from the event help prevent child abuse in the Walla Walla Valley.

As per tradition, the duck races happen during a Family Fun Festival, held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Families will enjoy booths, games, and activities by local businesses, complimentary refreshments, and more. Admission is free. The duck race launches at 2:00 p.m.

The 16 guaranteed prizes, including a new car from McCurley Integrity Toyota of Walla Walla, are worth a combined total of nearly $25,000. In addition, for the second year in a row, there is also a chance to win $1,000,000 (not guaranteed to be awarded).

Ducky adoptions ($5 for one duck, $20 for five) are available by contacting any Exchange Club member, by calling the Ducky Hotline (509-301-5531), at participating ticket outlets, and at the event itself until shortly before the race. Official rules and complete details are available at wwexchangeclub.org.
