The Columbia Basin Chapter of the WA Native Plant Society invites you to join Janelle Downs for a drive to see wildflowers and beautiful views of the Columbia River from the ridgeline of the Saddle Mountains above Mattawa on gravel roads.  Trip duration is likely 3.5 to 5 hours including driving time.  April is Native Plant Appreciation Month and the theme this year is on native pollinators, so we’ll keep an eye and maybe a camera out to look for insects that are visiting the wildflowers.

Following CDC guidelines, please bring a face covering in case it’s needed.  Wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and dress for the weather.

Meet at the Park and Ride at the corner of Van Giesen and Highway 240 to caravan to the road up the Saddle Mountains. At this point in time we can only take the first 15 people who sign up by emailing sagejld@aol.com. Go to https://www.facebook.com/CBWNPS for updates
