Walla Walla Steak Co. makes its debut Oct. 25.

The train depot that has served as a sort of front door to the community on Second Avenue will now be home to the new businesses, including the restaurant and a brewery.

A pre-opening party will take place this weekend with featured menu items and sample beers from Crossbuck Brewing. That will be followed in the days after with mock lunch and dinner services before the official opening.

With street construction on North Second Avenue complete, the timing is perfect for a debut, said Managing Partner Dan Thiessen.

He said railcar dining and brewery production with the adjoining Crossbuck will be fully online a few weeks after the opening.

Dinner service will run 4:30-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4:30-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
